Pilgrim’s Riddle

A destination and journey and loving embrace
all at once in the very same space.

But, if we are here and headed to there,
how can all three be something we share?

Not only share, but share at the same time,
a trio called life with death on the line.

So, if the place where we’re going is here,
how do we take the next step without fear?

For, if we’ve arrived, our next step leads astray.
And who knows how long we will wander that way?

The good news is that this riddle’s easy to crack.
Our hearts and His purpose and the wood on His back.
